Brazilian-born Morena Baccarin plays Inara Serra, a licensed "companion" trained in the many forms of making love, in "Firefly."

She grew up in New York City and studied at the Julliard School. After graduation, she appeared in the largely improvisational film "Perfume."

More recently, she appeared in the television shows "Heartland," "Stargate SG-1," "Las Vegas," "Justice," "How I Met Your Mother," "Kitchen Confidential," and "The O.C."

She played Inara Serra in the film "Serenity," the theatrical sequel to "Firefly."

Her stage credits include "Blood Wedding," "Way Off-Broadway," "Jack and Jill" and "The Long Walk."
